L & E Engagements

Last weekend I had the privilege of taking engagement pictures for a good friend's daughter and her fiance. It was cold out but they were great! A little info on the beautiful couple: She is one of those people you meet and instantly you know they are a genuinely good person. He chooses to serve our country so bravely along with many others out there. I am so grateful for all those serving in the military! Bonus for me: a great new location for taking pictures!

Welcome and thanks for visiting my blog. My name is Amy and I am a wife, a mom, a teacher, and a Northern Utah on location photographer. While I've always been drawn to great photography, it didn't occur to me that I might be able to learn how to take great pictures until a few years ago. I had been buying SLR cameras (you know the fancy ones that you can change lenses) for many years even back to the film days but it wasn't until a few years ago that I dove in and really learned how to use my camera beyond the point and shoot functions. I fell head over heals in love with photography at that point. There is something about the challenge and the satisfaction of freezing that moment, you know, the one that makes you stop and stare. While I know I have learning still to do, I have been very fortunate to learn from great photographers such as: Veronica Reeve, Brooke Snow, and Maggie Holmes.
